Why Support Ocean Health?

Water is the foundation of all life on Earth.

Ocean and freshwater ecosystems form a vast life-support network for our planet — producing our oxygen, absorbing more carbon than any other ecosystem, absorbing heat, regulating climate and supplying us with food, livelihoods and a multitude of other resources. Yet this vital system is in danger, and its preservation is critically underfunded. Rising CO₂ emissions are driving acidification, threatening marine life, and pushing biodiversity to the brink. Ocean pollution has become a global health issue (plastics, PFAS, fertlisers, pharmaceuticals etc), and collapsing ocean currents are threatening to disrupt global weather systems.

But there is hope: if we give it the chance, the ocean has a remarkable ability to recover. With the right approach, knowledge, and sufficient financing, it can bounce back to life faster than we had ever imagined.

As David Attenborough recently said, the choice is clear: “If we save the ocean, we save our world”.

Our Impact So Far

Since 2021, our brands have donated 100% of their profits to fund 35 impactful initiatives led by 18 organisations around the world, all working to protect and restore ocean health.

So far, we’ve raised €500,000 to tackle key challenges—from protecting threatened species and banning destructive fishing practices, to cutting maritime carbon emissions and tackling marine pollution.

Starting in 2025, we’ve sharpened our focus: a significant share of our funding will now support the creation, expansion, and enforcement of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs)—one of the most effective tools to conserve biodiversity and build ocean resilience.

Our goal is simple: for every beer sold, 500 m² of ocean is protected for one year—an easy but powerful way to turn everyday choices into real impact.

Our Commitment to Transparency

We're a small non-profit organisation with a big mission: to restore ocean health. Thanks to a lean team and frugal management approach we keep overheads low and impact high.

From production to marketing, we work with a supply chain that shares our purpose. Many of our partners offer services at cost or pro bono—allowing us to channel as much of our income as possible toward protecting and regenerating marine ecosystems. The same passion and ambition unite us to prove that sustainable business can be a force for good.

To ensure full visibility into our activities, we are committed to:

  • Share two reports per year with all our partners.

  • Publish our annual report on our website.

  • Provide detailed information on projects that receive our funding.

  • Offering full transparency on the supply chain behind all our products.
